The National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association (NTSAD) Research Initiative Program is dedicated to accelerating the development of effective treatments and cures for Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1 gangliosidosis, and Sandhoff diseases. Established in 2002, this program funds high-impact research projects that address critical gaps in knowledge and therapeutic development. The initiative supports a broad range of research—from understanding disease mechanisms and developing gene therapies to advancing clinical trial readiness and patient-centered outcome measures.
