Description
The International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) supports two-year research projects focused on lottery gambling and responsible gambling practices. The initiative seeks practical, policy-relevant, implementation-focused research that can inform lottery operations, player protection strategies, and public health approaches to gambling-related harm. It prioritizes actionable insights rather than solely theoretical contributions.
Research may address responsible gambling interventions, tools, and policies; lottery player behavior, risk perceptions, and protection; messaging and advertising; or digital platforms and data-driven approaches. Findings should translate into practices such as player education, risk mitigation, program design, staff training, policy development, or referrals to support and treatment. Where appropriate, comparisons with other gambling forms or non-gambling populations should help contextualize findings.
