Description
The Research Professorship, administered by Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, recognizes outstanding full professors who have made significant contributions to cancer research and are dedicated to training future oncology leaders. Recipients may use the funding at their discretion to support their overall research activities, combining continued research leadership with mentoring researchers in training and junior faculty.
The program supports leaders conducting research through teams in the laboratory and/or clinic. For the 2027 competition, dedicated donor funding supports one Research Professorship in Ovarian Cancer and one in Breast Cancer. An independent Grants Selection Committee scores and ranks applications using consistent criteria, with the highest-scoring applications receiving funding.
