Description
The Institute of Physics (IOP) Research Student Conference Fund contributes to the cost of attending events connected to a research student’s area of interest. It primarily supports conference attendance; workshops, summer placements and courses may also be considered, although conferences may receive priority. Students do not have to present, but priority may be given to those intending to give a talk or poster presentation.
The IOP handles applications, while the relevant IOP special interest group decides whether to award a bursary and how much to provide. The fund supplements other sources of support rather than usually covering the full cost of attendance.
