Description
Research Support Awards are the largest program of the Illinois Campus Research Board, established in 1932 to support faculty research, scholarship, and creative activities. The program supports projects critical to faculty scholarship, research in new or interdisciplinary directions, preliminary studies that improve prospects for external funding, and work in fields where external support is limited or unavailable.
Support can include research assistantships, project expenses, and publication subventions. The awards are not intended as an ongoing source of support. During regular review, the Board may designate projects of special distinction or promise as Arnold O. Beckman Awards; no separate application is required.
