Description
The American Academy of Neurology’s Residency and Fellowship Program Director Recognition Award honors individuals whose leadership, creativity, and innovation help ensure the future of neurology. It acknowledges the challenges of administering residency and fellowship training programs and celebrates excellence in graduate medical education rather than funding a research project.
The award recognizes demonstrated educational excellence alongside a record of leadership, innovation, creativity, and scholarship. Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by others, and nominations should be inclusive with regard to gender and underrepresented groups. Each year, the AAN recognizes two residency program directors and two fellowship program directors.
