Description
The Residency Research Awards help urology residents build momentum toward careers that include research. Administered by the American Urological Association (AUA) Office of Research, the program is part of the Urology Care Foundation’s portfolio of mentored research training awards. It supports research experience during residency that can help residents develop toward becoming independent investigators and address the shortfall of urology surgeon-scientists.
For the 2027 cycle, funding is limited to projects in erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, and neurourology. Awards support practical, non-personnel resources for projects lasting three to twelve months during residents’ research training periods. Supported resources include research supplies, services, database access, and research-related coursework or workshops.
