Description
The Resident Leadership Academy (RLA) at Mayo Clinic is an annual, immersive leadership development program designed for residents, fellows, and eligible learners identified as having future leadership potential. Over the course of nine full-day sessions during the academic year, participants engage in hands-on exercises, attend sessions led by high-level leaders from within and outside Mayo Clinic, and complete a capstone speech. The curriculum covers a wide range of essential leadership topics, including communication, negotiation, financial management, personal branding, and organizational skills, with the goal of strengthening leadership capabilities and fostering interdisciplinary connections among future leaders in medicine.
