--- ## Description This grant provides $5,000 to support orthopaedic surgery residents in ACGME-accredited programs in the United States who wish to conduct clinically relevant research. The intent is to foster research skills among residents and contribute to advances in orthopaedic practice by supporting basic, translational, and clinical studies with practical applications. The program encourages well-designed projects that clearly demonstrate clinical relevance. --- ## Due Dates - April 22, 2026: Letter of Intent deadline - June 24, 2026: Full application deadline --- ## Funding Amount - $5,000 per award - Each investigator may receive only one OREF Resident Research Project Grant during their lifetime - Only one submission per individual per year is allowed --- ## Eligibility - The Principal Investigator (PI) must be an orthopaedic surgery resident in an ACGME-accredited orthopaedic program in the United States. - Applications must be submitted through a domestic non-profit, public, or private institution of higher education (e.g., hospitals, medical schools, universities, colleges). - Only one submission per individual is allowed per year, regardless of grant category. - The same project may not be submitted in multiple grant categories, even with different PIs. - Each investigator may receive only one grant of this type in their lifetime. --- ## Application Process - Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by April 22, 2026, via [proposalCENTRAL](https://proposalcentral.com/GrantOpportunities.asp?GMID=143). - If invited, submit a full application by June 24, 2026. - Applicants must log in to proposalCENTRAL to view and complete the application.
