Description
The Resident Research Scholarship is designed to support neurology residents who aspire to become clinician scientists. This award serves as a springboard into the American Academy of Neurology’s (AAN) Research Program or other early-career investigator programs. The scholarship funds mentored research projects conducted at a US or Canadian hospital or clinic, with the project jointly developed by the resident and a mentoring physician. Emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, the program aims to prepare residents for future competitive grant opportunities. Awardees are expected to present their research at a future AAN Annual Meeting and acknowledge AAN support in any resulting publications.
