Description
The American Academy of Neurology’s Resident Research Scholarship supports neurology residents at US or Canadian institutions who are interested in careers as clinician-scientists. Residents and faculty mentors jointly design research projects relevant to neurology, conducted in a hospital, clinic, or other eligible clinical setting. Settings may include ongoing research programs, service or training environments, and private practices.
The competitive award is intended as a springboard into the AAN Research Program or other early-career investigator opportunities. Reviewers consider the project’s strength and how the award will help the resident complete the research, develop research skills, and advance their career. Faculty mentorship provides structured guidance, while funding supports the execution and needs of the research itself.
