The Resident Scholars Program, offered by the Foundation for SMFM, is designed to support and mentor obstetrics and gynecology residents in their final two years of training who are interested in maternal-fetal medicine (MFM). Selected scholars receive personalized mentorship from MFM leaders, participate in a virtual research design and biostatistics course, and are provided a stipend to attend two SMFM Pregnancy Meetings. The program aims to foster the next generation of MFM specialists, enhance career development, and build a strong community of future leaders in the field. The initiative honors Dr. Edward (Ted) Quilligan’s legacy of mentorship and leadership.
