Description
The Foundation for SMFM’s Resident Scholars Program provides mentoring and educational opportunities during the final two years of obstetrics and gynecology residency. Support includes a stipend to attend two SMFM Pregnancy Meetings and a virtual research design and biostatistics course. The program focuses on education and mentorship rather than funding a specified research project.
The program aims to identify promising residents from diverse backgrounds and interests who demonstrate potential for leadership in maternal-fetal medicine. It provides mentorship and education to help scholars successfully match into MFM fellowships and advance their early personal and professional development. It also builds a network among scholars and leaders in the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine for lifelong career development and support.
