Description
The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) offers the Resident Scholarship to the Annual Meeting to recognize the importance of US and Canadian residents attending its Annual Meeting. Rather than supporting a separate research project, the scholarship covers meeting attendance costs and provides an educational experience connecting residents with neurological content and colleagues.
Recipients participate in a customized experience that includes required and suggested programming and events designed to increase engagement with the Academy. The scholarship is intended for eligible adult and child neurology residents who demonstrate a commitment to neurological teaching, education, and/or community service and express interest in active AAN involvement. Selected residents also serve as mentors to recipients of the AAN Medical Student Annual Meeting Scholarships.
