Description
The Residential Public Infrastructure Grant Program is administered by the Ohio Department of Development and funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. It helps local governments build, maintain, improve, and expand water and sanitary sewer systems in low- and moderate-income communities. The program’s goal is to improve the safety and reliability of drinking water and sanitary sewer services, with infrastructure serving primarily residential users.
Alongside larger water or sanitary sewer projects, the program supports related on-site residential improvements and household connections. Eligible work includes service laterals, septic tanks, well abandonment, and CDBG-eligible related fees. These residential improvements must be part of a larger water or sanitary sewer project.
