Description
The Oklahoma District Attorneys Council administers the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Grant Program (RSAT) to help states and local governments develop and implement residential substance abuse treatment within correctional and detention facilities. The program supports treatment in facilities where people are incarcerated long enough to participate in substance abuse treatment.
The broader federal RSAT program supports substance use disorder treatment for adult and juvenile populations, evidence-based treatment in jails, and community reintegration through treatment and recovery aftercare. It encourages drug-free prisons and jails, specialized treatment for people with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and inclusion of medication-assisted treatment.
