Description
The Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) Program, administered by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture in partnership with USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service, aims to strengthen the middle segment of the state's food supply chain for locally and regionally produced food products (excluding meat and poultry). The program supports projects that build capacity for aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storage, transportation, wholesaling, and distribution, ultimately expanding options and market access for small and mid-size producers. RFSI addresses infrastructure gaps not supported by other federal funding, with an emphasis on benefiting underserved communities and advancing equitable food systems across New Mexico.
