Description
This opportunity funds local program administrators to deliver the Resilient Retrofits program across New York State. The program aims to help low- and middle-income single-family homeowners strengthen their homes against flooding and extreme weather events through a blend of amortizing loans and forgivable grants. Eligible improvements include flood mitigation measures (e.g., elevating living spaces, installing flood vents), energy efficiency upgrades, and electrification of heating and cooling systems. Administrators are responsible for outreach, loan servicing, construction management, and ongoing oversight, often in partnership with community organizations. The ultimate goal is to reduce displacement, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance the resilience of communities at risk.
