This opportunity enables a U.S. scholar to join the Agricultural University of Iceland (AUI) as part of the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, focusing on teaching and research in restoration ecology. The scholar will participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching (in-person and distance), mentor students, contribute to seminars and workshops, and engage in collaborative research. Courses cover ecosystem and landscape restoration, wetland and marine restoration, soil science, sustainable resource management, and related topics. The appointment offers access to Iceland’s diverse ecosystems for field research and the chance to guest lecture at the UNESCO-affiliated GRÓ Land Restoration Training Program.
