Description
Return to Work grants are offered through the Safety & Health Investment Projects (SHIP) Grant Program in the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries’ Division of Occupational Safety and Health. They support projects that develop and implement effective, innovative return-to-work programs for injured workers. The emphasis is on putting ideas into practice, rather than developing a program concept alone.
Return-to-work projects are one part of SHIP’s broader investment in workplace safety and health. SHIP also funds work to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. Proposals that encourage cooperation between employers and employees or their representatives receive priority.
