The RGC Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) and RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) are prestigious, competitive fellowships supporting outstanding researchers at UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong. These schemes enable selected Associate Professors (RFS) and full Professors (SRFS) to focus on research by providing relief from teaching and administrative duties for five years. The aim is to facilitate high-impact research and to nurture the next generation of local research talent. Each year, up to ten awards are made for each scheme, spanning all academic disciplines.
