The RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) is designed to empower established full Professors at UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong by providing significant research funding and relief from most teaching and administrative duties. The fellowship enables recipients to focus intensively on innovative research and the mentoring of early career researchers, with an emphasis on leadership and the development of Hong Kong’s research talent pipeline. Each annual cycle selects up to ten distinguished senior academics across all disciplines, conferring on them the title of RGC Senior Research Fellow and providing resources for both research activities and junior researcher training.
