Description
RI-NEST Workshop Awards, offered by Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR, convene faculty, postdoctoral researchers, students, educators, and subject matter experts to develop ideas, analyze existing information, and build collaborations. Workshops should address gaps in Rhode Island’s research and innovation ecosystem and relate to the core themes and cross-cutting capabilities of the Rhode Island Science and Technology Action Plan.
The program emphasizes active work across disciplines, facilities, or institutions rather than presentations. Topics may include industry engagement in research, workforce-development partnerships, academic and community responses to science and technology needs, and the use of science in policy or management decisions. Workshops should produce tangible outcomes and share what participants learn with relevant partners.
