Description
The Richard B. Salomon Faculty Research Awards are Brown University development grants administered through the Division of Research. They fund exceptional faculty research projects and recognize excellence in scholarship. For the third consecutive year, increased funding from the Provost enables Brown to support more impactful humanities projects, with larger grants reserved for faculty in the arts, humanities, and humanistic social sciences.
The program was initially supported from 1995 to 1999 by the bequest of Richard B. Salomon, the late Chancellor of Brown University. Brown has continued to fund the awards since 1999.
