Description
The Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) – Singapore program, organized by the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) in collaboration with the Institute for Mathematical Sciences (IMS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), offers undergraduate students from the U.S. the chance to work on real-world, industry-sponsored projects. Over two months in Singapore, participants join cross-cultural teams with students from NUS and other Asian universities to tackle mathematical, statistical, and data-driven challenges presented by regional companies. The program provides a unique blend of technical, collaborative, and cultural experiences, with all activities conducted in English. Participants receive a stipend, travel allowance, housing, meals, and technical support, and benefit from mentorship by both academic and industry professionals.
