Description
The Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability’s Risk, Resilience, and Adaptation Solution Area supports research approaches that involve communities in risk reduction and in policy and governance changes that sustain resilience. Its Planning Grants fund preparatory activities to refine research ideas, foster collaboration across faculty, and build strong external partnerships.
Teams with a clear idea for a future Integrative Project can seek support to develop that concept and the partnerships needed to pursue it, with the aim of preparing an Integrative Project proposal within nine months. The grants sit within the school’s broader Solution Areas Program, which supports ambitious, partner-engaged, interdisciplinary research on sustainability challenges through integrated, systems-level approaches.
