Description
Stanford University's Risk, Resilience, and Adaptation Solution Area Planning Grants are designed to catalyze faculty-led research collaborations focused on advancing community engagement in risk reduction and sustainable resilience. The grants support activities that enable teams to build partnerships, refine project ideas, and lay the groundwork for ambitious, interdisciplinary Integrative Projects that address complex sustainability challenges related to risk, resilience, and adaptation.
Planning Grants are intended to foster new collaborations, both across Stanford and with external partners, and to support the development of proposals for future, larger-scale projects. Projects may address topics such as wildfire resilience, multi-hazard risk metrics, AI and data tools for hazard modeling, natural hazards response capacity building, and innovations in governance, finance, and infrastructure to increase resilience to climate-driven hazards. Other compelling risk and resilience topics are also welcome.
