Description
The NIH Common Fund, in partnership with multiple NIH Institutes and Centers, anticipates releasing a funding opportunity to establish the RNomics Outreach and Coordination (ROC) Center. The ROC Center will function as the central hub for the RNomics program, which aims to advance research into the complete set of RNA molecules (the RNome) in cells and tissues. The Center will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining a central RNomics data portal
- Supporting the development and adoption of data standards
- Coordinating technology validation and benchmarking
- Leading consortium-wide data analysis
- Supporting outreach, training, and dissemination of RNomics resources
- Planning for long-term availability and maintenance of RNomics data assets
