Description
The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking proposals for innovative projects that use space-based technologies—such as satellite imagery, navigation, and communications—to address urgent challenges in road and traffic safety worldwide. This call aims to foster solutions that enhance traffic management, incident detection, predictive safety, and the protection of vulnerable road users, especially in light of rapid urbanization and the rise of new vehicle types like micromobility and automated vehicles. Projects should develop sustainable applications or services that leverage space assets to improve road infrastructure, optimize traffic flow, facilitate real-time information exchange, and reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
