    Description

The Robert Krueger Research Grant supports natural products research by faculty at primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs). Established by the American Society of Pharmacognosy Foundation following Dr. Robert J. Krueger’s passing in 2023, it honors his dedication to teaching, research, faculty development, and preparing students for their careers. The grant was originally endowed by his wife, Beth, and continues to grow through donations from Society members and friends.

The program funds work being initiated or continued across the broad spectrum of natural products research. It provides resources for undergraduate-focused academic settings, including research personnel, equipment, and travel to scientific meetings. A committee designated by the Society’s Executive Committee evaluates applications, and the recipient’s institution administers the award.
