    Description

The International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD) offers the Robert L. Snyder Student Award as part of its commitment to educating the scientific community. The award provides limited travel support and waived registration fees for students participating in the 2027 Denver X-ray Conference. Students contribute to the technical program through oral or poster presentations.

The award honors Robert (Bob) L. Snyder, an educator and researcher whose work focused on characterizing advanced materials by X-ray diffraction, particularly advanced ceramics and nanomaterials. He chaired both ICDD and the Denver X-ray Conference. Past recipients have presented research spanning X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, crystal structures, batteries, minerals, biological samples, and cultural heritage objects.
