The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellows program, administered by the National Academy of Medicine since 1973, is a prestigious, hands-on opportunity for midcareer health professionals and behavioral/social scientists to participate directly in federal health policy processes. Fellows spend 12–24 months in Washington, DC, gaining real-world policy experience, leadership development, and exposure to the intersection of health, science, and policy. Over 300 fellows have advanced health policy leadership nationwide through this program.
