Description
The Roberts-Miller Children’s Fund, administered by Gaston Community Foundation, helps North Carolina children under age 18 obtain serious medical, dental, and related services they cannot afford. Support is directed toward medically or mentally disadvantaged children when public or family resources are unavailable. Special equipment is a typical emphasis, but assistance is not limited to equipment.
The fund also supports orthodontic care to correct significant disfigurement or address threats to a child’s overall health. In addition to assistance for individual children, it makes special grants to institutions and programs helping groups of children within the fund’s purpose and mission. A parent testimonial describes support that helped a child with autism access appropriate therapies.
