The A.S. Romer - G.G. Simpson Medal is the highest honor awarded by the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (SVP). It is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated sustained and outstanding scholarly excellence in the discipline of vertebrate paleontology. The award celebrates significant, long-term contributions to the advancement of vertebrate paleontology through research and scholarship. Recipients are recognized at the SVP Awards Banquet and receive a commemorative medal.
