    Description

    The Roving Scholar in American Studies award provides experienced U.S. educators the opportunity to serve as traveling specialists in American studies and pedagogy throughout Norway. Roving Scholars visit lower and upper secondary schools, teacher training programs, and educator conferences, delivering workshops, guest lectures, and classroom teaching focused on U.S. history, culture, and society. The aim is to foster cross-cultural dialogue, enhance English language skills, and introduce modern teaching methods to Norwegian students and educators. Scholars are expected to organize in-service workshops for English teachers and contribute to the professional development of Norwegian educators. The program supports the Fulbright mission of strengthening relationships and promoting mutual understanding between the United States and Norway.
