Description
The Visiting Professorships from the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS) are designed to foster the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and policy perspectives among academic surgeons worldwide. These awards provide travel support for AAS members with a strong track record in surgical research and active participation in the AAS to attend annual meetings of international partner organizations. The goal is to facilitate collaboration, leadership development, and knowledge sharing across global surgical communities.
Current exchange opportunities are available with:
- Taiwan Surgical Association
- West African College of Surgeons
- Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Younger Fellows Committee
- Colombian Surgical Association
Award recipients may be invited to present at host meetings and are expected to host visiting professors from partner societies at the Academic Surgical Congress.
