The Royal Society’s International Science Partnerships Fund International Collaboration Awards support emerging research leaders in the UK and Brazil or South Africa to jointly develop international research programmes. Funded through the UK Government’s International Science Partnerships Fund, this call supports natural sciences research that directly and primarily addresses developing countries’ challenges in health, energy, climate, food, and nature and environment.
The programme aims to establish sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships, expand international networks, and generate original approaches to challenging research questions. Research capacity strengthening is as important as the research itself: collaborations should devote effort and resources to helping researchers and their groups conduct, manage, share and apply high-quality research. Knowledge and skills sharing, training and exchanges of people are central to this purpose.
