Description
Funded by the Leverhulme Trust and administered by the Royal Society, this fellowship gives experienced senior and mid-career researchers dedicated time for full-time scientific work. It funds teaching replacement and research expenses so fellows can be relieved of teaching, administrative and pastoral care duties for between one academic term and one academic year. Applications from mid-career researchers are particularly encouraged.
Research must fall within the Royal Society’s natural sciences remit, including biological and biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics and physics. Selection prioritises scientific excellence alongside evidence that relief from other responsibilities is particularly needed and timely for the applicant’s career and scientific area. Approximately seven fellowships are expected to be offered.
