The Royal Society of Biology (RSB) Travel Grants provide opportunities for biology-related travel to people who would otherwise be unlikely to have them. This award is for associate (AMRSB) members worldwide, supporting future projects in the UK or abroad. Future overseas conferences will also be considered.
The programme helps recipients learn new laboratory and field techniques, develop professional skills, and network with academics. Previous recipients have undertaken research stays, laboratory visits and training, fieldwork, data collection, specialist courses, and conference presentations. Their work has ranged from visual acuity in frogs and microbial degradation of plastics to wildlife monitoring and conservation technology.
