Description
The Royal Society Wolfson Visiting Fellowship enables outstanding emerging or established international research leaders to undertake a flexible sabbatical at a UK university or not-for-profit research institution. Run by the Royal Society with support from the Wolfson Foundation and government funding, the scheme attracts overseas researchers in key strategic areas and enriches research at the host institution and across the wider UK science base.
The fellowship supports natural sciences research, including biological and biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics and physics. Its central goals are to develop ongoing international collaborative links, share ideas and practice, and generate mutual benefits for the visiting researcher and UK host. Visits total 12 months, either full-time or spread across two years.
