This grant is designed to stimulate the development of newly emerging eye research programs and support recently appointed department chairs in ophthalmology at U.S.-based, university-connected medical schools that have not received RPB departmental support in the past four years. The award aims to enhance the department’s research environment, foster collaborative studies of the visual system, and attract new researchers, thereby strengthening the institution’s vision research efforts.
