The Dr. Marsha Della Giustina Scholarship is administered by the RTDNA Foundation, the educational arm of the Radio Television Digital News Association. It supports students pursuing broadcast or multimedia journalism at U.S. colleges and universities, combining financial assistance for education with professional-development training and connections to industry leaders.
The scholarship continues Della Giustina’s legacy of educating and mentoring journalists over more than half a century. She began as New England’s first female news producer at Boston’s WCVB-TV and helped launch one of the nation’s first undergraduate broadcast-journalism programs at Emerson College, where she taught from 1977 to 2021. The recipient is invited to Washington, D.C., for the Foundation’s First Amendment Awards and a day of training and networking.
