Description
The Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission uses this program to partner with rural communities in its Southern and Southwest Virginia service area on innovative economic development projects. The program supports advanced manufacturing that strengthens rural development and the energy supply chain. It is intended as a flexible way to pursue projects aligned with the Commission’s funding priorities.
The Commission encourages entrepreneurial approaches and public-private partnerships that bring additional capital and market expertise. It seeks long-term, income-producing investments that benefit communities while giving project funders a clear path to recover their investment and earn continuing returns from a project’s use or appreciation.
