Description
The Rural Clinical Rotations Grant Program is administered by the Minnesota Department of Health’s Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC). It supports existing eligible health-professions training programs that add, expand, or enhance rural rotations and clinical training experiences. Supported work includes credential or certificate rural tracks and other specialized training that brings clinical education into rural Minnesota communities.
The program focuses on strengthening rural clinical training through rotations and specialized training experiences. For physician and dentist training, expanded experiences must include rotations in primary care settings, such as community clinics, hospitals, health maintenance organizations, or rural practices. Formerly known as the Rural and Underserved Clinical Rotations Grant Program, it is authorized by Minnesota Statutes, section 144.1505.
