Description
The Rural Communities Opportunity Grant supports economic development planning, projects, and activities led by eligible rural Utah communities and Associations of Governments (AOGs). Administered by the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity and overseen by the Rural Opportunity Advisory Committee, it is intended to help communities address their distinct economic needs and manage local opportunities.
Supported work includes business recruitment, development, and expansion; workforce training and development; and infrastructure, industrial buildings, and capital facilities improvements for business development. Applicants must connect their proposed activities and measurable outcomes to improvements in the community’s economy.
