Description
The Minnesota Department of Health’s Office of Rural Health and Primary Care runs this program to increase residency training opportunities in rural Minnesota and strengthen the rural primary care physician and psychology workforce. Formerly called the Rural Primary Care Residency Training Grant Program, it supports programs at different stages, from establishing a rural program or track to sustaining training.
Grants can cover planning and development, obtaining accreditation, recruiting and training residents and faculty, and improving training sites. Medical residency planning and sustaining funds are available alongside funding for postdoctoral psychology training.
