Description
SHAPE America’s Ruth Abernathy Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships honor outstanding student members studying health, physical education, recreation or dance. Developed by the organization’s past presidents, the Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship recognizes deserving students and their academic achievements. SHAPE America has awarded scholarships in these fields since 1995.
Each year, the program recognizes three undergraduate students and two graduate students through educational awards. Scholarships are presented in the spring at the SHAPE America National Convention & Expo. Alongside financial support, each recipient receives a complimentary three-year SHAPE America membership, combining student recognition with continued participation in the professional association.
