The Ruth K. Broad Biomedical Research Foundation offers a year-long named fellowship supporting a postdoctoral researcher conducting high-priority, high-potential basic or translational research in neuroscience. The Foundation is a support corporation of Duke University and funds neuroscience research with a particular focus on advancing knowledge, prevention, or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
Applications are evaluated on the quality of both the science and the applicant. Research that could advance understanding of neurodegenerative disorders and their relationship to Alzheimer’s disease is considered a strength, but this focus is not required. The fellowship therefore supports basic or translational neuroscience work beyond that specific disease emphasis. International postdoctoral fellows are eligible and encouraged to apply.
