    Description

The S-Process Grant Round, administered by the Survival and Flourishing Fund (SFF), is a major, algorithm-driven funding round supporting initiatives that address existential risks and promote long-term human flourishing. The 2026 cycle includes a Main Round (with Main, Freedom, and Fairness tracks) and three themed rounds focused on Climate Change, Animal Welfare, and Human Self-Enhancement & Empowerment (HSEE).

Applications are reviewed through a collaborative process involving selected Recommenders and Funders, using a simulation-based decision tool to ensure rigorous, transparent, and fair allocation of funding. To be eligible, applicants must receive a Speculation Grant—a preliminary endorsement that guarantees consideration in the S-Process round.
