Sponsored by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and endowed by the former AAN Alliance, this award encourages neuroscience research by physicians in neurology training programs. It recognizes work conducted during residency or fellowship and gives two recipients the opportunity to present their selected abstracts in a scientific session at the 2027 AAN Annual Meeting.
The award workgroup considers originality, scientific merit, neurological interest, and clarity of expression. Review also examines the applicant’s research record and professional potential, the quality of the abstract and mentor’s letter, and the work’s potential impact on the field.
