The Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA) supports the development of micro-credentials recognizing mastery of specific, observable, measurable skills in behavior analysis. Projects may assess skills individuals already possess without providing additional instruction, or combine a programmatic learning experience with a demonstration of the targeted skill. Credentials may recognize individual skills or stacks of related skills.
The program encompasses any sub-area of behavior analysis, including education, organizational behavior management, clinical practice, experimental analysis, pharmacology and neuroscience, applied animal behavior, autism, developmental disabilities, conceptual and historical issues, and community, social, and sustainability issues. Its goal is to strengthen the quality of behavior-analytic science and practice through foundational training, with emphasis on accessible instruction and lasting, generalizable skill development.
