    Description

    Jointly sponsored by the Medical Toxicology Foundation (MTF) and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Foundation (SAEMF), this grant supports research advancing medical toxicology across emergency medicine. It aims to foster collaboration between members of the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) and SAEM. Pilot projects collecting data needed to pursue larger studies are of particular interest.

    Supported topics include medical toxicology practice and education for medical students, emergency medicine residents, medical toxicology residents, and emergency physicians. Research may also address acute or chronic pharmaceutical and chemical toxicity, envenomations and natural toxins, opioid-use disorders and addiction medicine, chemical or radiological emergency preparedness, and global medical toxicology.
