Description
The Safety & Health Investment Projects (SHIP) Grant Program is run by the Division of Occupational Safety and Health within the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. Its safety grants support projects that prevent injuries, illnesses, and fatalities in Washington workplaces. Projects may develop technical innovations, engineering controls, best practices, or education and training that can benefit similar workplaces.
For this round, SHIP gives special consideration to emerging safety and health issues, projects that build capacity within businesses and industries, the needs of multicultural worker populations, and collaboration across industry or business organizations. The request for proposals also identifies particular injuries, illnesses, industries, and small-business needs as priorities.
